So, I was thinking about this printer. First, I realize that the best way to have a paper tray is to have it be attachable to the top. This will make the construction easier and more efficient. If we make the paper tray attachable to the bottom, it will have to be strong enough to support both the weight of the laptop and the printer. This will make the compartment heavier and thicker than necessary. A light, thin "drawer" would be more effective. It will only need to hold maybe ten to twenty-five sheets. Actually, maybe we could put it underneath. If it is less of a hard plastic drawer, and more of a "folder", then the compartment wouldn't be hurt by the weight of the printer and computer.
Also, I'm thinking about the power. Originally, my thought was to have a cord connecting it to the laptop to get its power from the laptop. However, now I'm think that we give the printer a battery similar to, but smaller than the one the computer has. It will be recharged like the laptop when it goes home for the night, and will be ready for work the next day.
Any thoughts?
