Pope Benedict Vs. Nazi Germany

Goldhagen discusses the similarities between Pope Benedict's ideas and Nazi Germany in order to cause the reader to draw a conclusion about the pope's ideals are acceptable or not. He does not directly say that the pope is a Nazi, or that he should be viewed as one. He simply shows the similarities between the two. Obviously, he knows what conclusions will be drawn due to the common reaction to the idea of being related to Nazi ideals or actions. He expects readers to read about the pope's direction for Catholics to see Jews and any other religions as inferior because the Catholic religion does not accept any others as the Truth. Goldhagen points out that the Nazi's took a similar stand yet with a more physical action brought against those they thought to be in the wrong with regards to their ideals. Goldhagen brings these similarities to light, knowing that the reader will draw the conclusion he wants. He has no need to directly tell the reader what to think. The reader will find it on his own.

Port-A-Printer

So, I was thinking about this printer. First, I realize that the best way to have a paper tray is to have it be attachable to the top. This will make the construction easier and more efficient. If we make the paper tray attachable to the bottom, it will have to be strong enough to support both the weight of the laptop and the printer. This will make the compartment heavier and thicker than necessary. A light, thin "drawer" would be more effective. It will only need to hold maybe ten to twenty-five sheets. Actually, maybe we could put it underneath. If it is less of a hard plastic drawer, and more of a "folder", then the compartment wouldn't be hurt by the weight of the printer and computer.
Also, I'm thinking about the power. Originally, my thought was to have a cord connecting it to the laptop to get its power from the laptop. However, now I'm think that we give the printer a battery similar to, but smaller than the one the computer has. It will be recharged like the laptop when it goes home for the night, and will be ready for work the next day.

Any thoughts?

Contraption Yet To Be Named

So I had this idea. Two items that most college students go out and buy, or acquire in some cheaper way, prior to starting school are a computer and a printer. Presently, computers can be miniaturized to take up about as much space as a notebook which is very convenient. Yet, printers still remain commercially the size of all of the student's textbooks combined into one heavy, awkward -shaped, necessity. My thought is to mass produce printers roughly the same size as a laptop with some form of an attachment mechanism so as to be able to transport both conveniently. The technology exists for these printers. I have seen some that are only a little thicker than a laptop. They are not very common, but they do exist. So we create a printer thin enough to attach beneath the laptop, removable of course, and an even thinner compartment beneath that to contain paper. This will make the laptop contraption thicker and heavier, but it will make it more useful as well. It would work perfectly students constantly moving, and for adults going back and forth from home to office, or business trips.

Genius, right? =]

Until my next technological breakthrough,
